Life doesnt always follow a fixed schedule. Thats why we created the Security Officer Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income gain hands-on experience or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Armed Perimeter Patrol in Houston TX this role is designed to provide reliable consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.84 / Hour

02:00 AM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. Its all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility income stability and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors employees and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and emergency response activities at government locations.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings grounds parking areas access points and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned locations verify credentials as required and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; provide appropriate notifications and coordinate with emergency personnel and/or law enforcement when required.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs documenting patrols incidents observations and actions taken.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Possess a college degree.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
